Erik Sznip Joins Avison Young

Veteran dealmaker Erik Sznip has joined Avison Young as a senior director, where he’ll continue to specialize in complex real estate transactions.

“Erik Sznip has a depth of advisory and financial expertise that is so critical to analyzing, negotiating and consummating deals,” said A. Mitti Liebersohn, president and managing director of Avison Young’s New York City office.

To make complicated deals work, Szip develops custom portfolio and occupancy strategies that help minimize costs, maximize value and optimize the financial, accounting and tax implications of each deal.

He previously worked as a senior director with Cushman & Wakefield’s Strategic Advisory Group. He has more than a decade of senior-level advisory and real estate financial consulting experience.
