Equus Takes Twin Cites Campus for New HQ
Equus Holdings Inc. (EQ) acquired a 19-acre former General Mills property in the Twin Cities’ Golden Valley, MN for its new worldwide HQ. The Basset Creek Innovation Center, located at 201 General Mills Blvd., is a LEED-certified state-of-the-art facility that traded for $13 million.
The centrally-located campus features a modern and sustainable multi-tenant facility with open architecture design. Equus will occupy 90,000 square feet of office space. EQ Holdings will shift operations to a single floor of Basset Creek in January 2020.
EQ Holdings’ Andy Juang says, “This move offers our employee-owners an improved working environment ideal for driving an innovative culture, while also supporting our future growth needs and supporting the Minnesota technology sphere that we were born out of.”
Upland Real Estate Group, Inc. handled the deal and the firm’s Josh Huempfner, Sara Swenson and Blake Martin will be marketing up to 47,000 square feet of the building for lease.
