Equity Residential Opens First Units at Renovated Coastal Community
Real estate development and management firm Equity Residential has opened 87 upgraded residences at the Pearl Apartments in Marina del Rey, CA. The units were the beginning of a $45 million capital improvement program of the community that consists of 597 market rate, garden-style apartments in 15 three-story buildings.
During the renovation, Equity Residential is offering existing residents several alternate housing opportunities while their apartments are being upgraded, including moving to another unit at the complex or other nearby accommodations. The firm will pay all moving expenses.
“We are leveraging Pearl’s campus-style layout to break the major reconstruction of the community into phases, allowing the transformation to be completed while the majority of the complex remains occupied,” said Equity Residential’s Eric Grossman.
The renovated apartments will feature a clean, modern aesthetic plus new kitchens with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops, wood plank flooring, LED lighting and new bath fixtures and sinks.
