EQ Office Names Britton Derkac SVP and National Head of Leasing
EQ Office has appointed Boston, MA-based Britton Derkac to the newly created position of SVP and national head of leasing. The creation of a dedicated leasing function is intended to enhance EQ’s operating capabilities nationwide to maximize value for its partners and benefit the communities within which it operates.
In his new role, Derkac will oversee all leasing activity within the EQ portfolio. He will also manage strategic customer and broker relationships to help drive customer retention and new business development.
Derkac has been with EQ Office for 14 years. He most recently served as SVP, portfolio director and was responsible for value creation efforts in addition to supporting the acquisition and disposition strategies for EQ. This past year he has overseen a number of significant leases across the EQ Office portfolio, including bringing a new concept from Crafted Hospitality and chef Tom Colicchio to Market Square in Washington DC.
