EOG Re-Ups Its Lease at Houston’s Heritage Plaza
EOG Resources, one of the largest crude oil and natural gas exploration and production companies, has expanded and extended its lease at Heritage Plaza, a 52-story Houston landmark. The latest lease terms upped the amount of space required by EOG, from 300,000 to 375,000 square feet. It will likely be one of the largest office lease renewals in the Houston office market this year.
Heritage Plaza, built in 1987, has just over one million square feet of office space. EOG has been a tenant since 2007, when it signed a lease for 200,000 square feet. EOG Resources is one of the few downtown businesses to require employees to come into the office full-time as it transitioned from a hybrid schedule to a full-time in-person office schedule in April 2022. The company has approximately 675 employees working in its downtown Houston headquarters.
The building owner, Brookfield Properties, completed an in-depth renovation of Heritage Plaza last year, making changes to its lobby, fitness center and conference rooms.
