Englewood Construction Tapped for Uptown, Fulton Market Projects

Englewood Construction has been named general contractor for two Chicago-area projects: the construction of a new 6,000-square-foot retail building on the border of the North Side’s Uptown and Buena Park neighborhoods, and the conversion of a former meatpacking building in downtown’s Fulton Market District for future commercial use.

The Uptown/Buena Park project at 4407 N. Clarendon Ave. (pictured), which is part of the development plans for the neighboring Eight Eleven Uptown residential tower, is a joint venture between Harlem Irving Company and JDL Development.

In Fulton Market, Englewood was tapped by entrepreneur Aiman Humadieh for the renovation of 1107 W. Fulton St. Englewood is collaborating with the development team to finalize designs for the project, which will entail converting the 19,000-square-foot four-story building for future retail, restaurant or office space.

Construction on 4407 N. Clarendon is expected to begin later this spring. Work on 1107 N. Fulton will launch in summer.
