Engie North America Takes 110K SF at Four Oaks Place

Engie North America opted to relocate its headquarters to Four Oaks Place, 1360 Post Oak in Houston. The energy management company, based in France, inked a deal for 109,667 square feet, and will relocate from its current 134,000 square feet at 1990 Post Oak in December.

Transwestern’s Eric Anderson, David Baker and Tyler Garrett represented the landlord, a joint venture between Nuveen Real Estate and Allianz. Bruce Rutherford and Louis Rosenthal with JLL was the tenant representative. Cushman & Wakefield’s Tim Relyea and Morgan Relyea Colt advised BHP Billiton, which surrendered the space, so Engie could lease directly from the landlord, a spokesperson told the Houston Business Journal.

Engie will occupy floors four through nine in the building, which was once BHP Billiton’s Houston headquarters. BHP had released the space in 2017. “This was a complex, three-party transaction that resulted in a favorable outcome for all involved,” Garrett said.
