Engel Burman Set to Deliver Two Uniondale Projects

Engel Burman said Wednesday it expects to deliver two rental projects in the Long Island community of Uniondale, NY during the first quarter of 2021. They include the age-restricted (55+) Sutton Landing and The Brix, which will be non-age restricted.

Along with the 55+ Sutton Landing projects in Mt. Sinai and Deer Park already completed in 2020, the number of rental units produced during a 12-month period will total 800.

The Long Island portfolio additions come as the market for suburban residences remains strong – particularly as New York City residents seek alternative housing during the ongoing pandemic.

Engel Burman principal Scott Burman said, “Long Island, which historically has been underserved when it comes to rental housing, now is experiencing huge growth in demand for superior quality and highly amenitized residences. That demand is coming from all age brackets, and we don’t expect it to disappear in the near future.”
