Energy Trader Finds New Space Downtown

EDF Trading and its affiliates inked a deal for 60,000 square feet of space at 601 Travis St. (Chase Tower) in Houston’s downtown submarket. The energy trading company currently operates at 4700 W. Sam Houston Pkwy. N. (Beltway 8), to the northwest of the CBD.

CBRE’s Matt Dickson and Kevin Kushner represented EDF in lease negotiations with the landlord, Texas Tower LP. Paula Bruns and Michael Anderson, with Colvill Office Properties, represented the owner of the 20-story, 407,896-square-foot building.

“EDF asked CBRE to find a new office that could accommodate its high-density trading floor. We identified several creative options throughout Houston, and 601 Travis fit the best with EDF’s goals,” Dickson said.

EDF manages an extensive portfolio of assets on behalf of their customers, and provide a complete suite of energy services, including wholesale energy trading, generation services, retail and renewable energy.
