Energy Supplier Plans Headquarters Relocation from Waltham to Newton

Fortune 500 energy supplier Global Partners LP plans to move its headquarters from Waltham, MA to a recently renovated office complex across from Newton’s Riverside MBTA station, the Boston Business Journal reported. The company intends to house more than 600 employees at 275 Grove St. when it moves in late 2026. It signed a 12-year lease for just over 100,000 square feet.

Global Partners is now based at Intercontinental Real Estate Corp.’s Watermill Center in Waltham, where it occupies about 72,000 square feet. The company owns a network of liquid fuel terminals and gas stations and is the fifth-largest publicly traded company headquartered in Massachusetts, according to the most recent Business Journal research.

Boston-based Greatland Realty Partners and MassMutual subsidiary Barings purchased the three-building, 515,000-square-foot Newton, MA property two years ago for $117.5 million, reported the Business Journal. They have since spent more than $16 million on improvements.
