Endeavor gets green-light to redevelop the Borden Dairy site

Endeavor Receives Go-Ahead for Prodigious Austin Mixed-Use Project

After months of give-and-take, Endeavor Real Estate Group was given the green light from the Austin City Council to move forward on its development, with some buildings as high as 120 feet. The Austin Business Journal reports Endeavor aims to create a bustling mixed-use district with 1,400 residential units, more than 400,000 square feet of office space, more than 100,000 square feet of retail space and a 220-room hotel near Cesar Chavez Street, East Seventh Street and U.S. Route 183.

The 21-acre parcel is currently the site of the onetime Borden Dairy, on the Colorado River. With a new maximum building height of 120 feet, the planned towers could rise 10 to 12 stories. On Endeavor’s website, the company touts its ability to build thoughtful projects, “Since 1999, Endeavor has been committed to creating projects that leave a lasting legacy. Our projects are designed to serve our markets, consider the environment, and achieve successful outcomes for all stakeholders.”
