Encore Capital Claims 95K SF at AMP&RSAND

Encore Capital Group will move its headquarters to AMP&RSAND, the former home of the San Diego Union-Tribune, which has been repurposed by the Casey Brown Company. The international specialty finance company is consolidating two offices in Mission Valley, and will occupy roughly 95,000 square feet, including the entire third floor and a portion of the ground floor at the new location.

The 340,000-square-foot property features two interconnected buildings located at 350 Camino de la Reina. The repositioned, five-story office tower is where editors and journalists once published the San Diego Union-Tribune newspaper and the adjacent three-story building housed printing presses. The interior design has an industrial loft-style feel, featuring exposed brick, concrete pillars, 14-foot ceilings along with floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

Colliers International’s Derek Applbaum, Evan Djikas and Andrew Gooliak represented the tenant. CBRE’s Matt Carlson, Ryan Grant and Jeff Oesterblad represented the landlord.
