Empire Building 217-Unit New Braunfels BTR Community

Empire Group of Companies is slated to begin construction on its Village at Mayfair rental community this summer. Homes will become available in late summer or early fall of 2025.

The Village at Mayfair is a build-to-rent community of 217 units on 20 acres of Mayfair’s 1,900-acre master-planned community.

General contractor Legacy MCS out of Austin is set to build the Village at Mayfair project. Tower Capital has arranged $47.4 million in financing for the development. The build-to-rent homes will be cottage-style and located inside a gated community within Mayfair. 

The rental community at The Village at Mayfair will have a common open space, barbecue grills, a car care station, a fitness center, a clubhouse and a central community pool. 

Overall, Mayfair’s master-planned community will have 6,000 residential units, including multi-family, single-family, rentals and townhomes. The housing and retail development is currently being built on both sides of I-35 in New Braunfels.
