Emmy French Corner to Open on U Street

Emmy French Corner, a new French patisserie and café, will open at 1250 U Street NW in Washington, D.C.

The owners signed a 10-year lease with EastBanc for the 1,250-square-foot space, formerly Starbucks. The location will serve craft artisanal pastries, desserts, and baked goods, including croissants, macarons, éclairs, and custom cakes, blending classic flavors with modern elegance.

EastBanc is transforming the office building at 1250 U Street into a mixed-use development with residential, neighborhood retail and, potentially, a small boutique hotel component. The proposed redevelopment will bring retail, public art, affordable and market-rate housing, and streetscape improvements to the U Street corridor.
