Emmitt Smith Partners with Newmark, Forms E Smith Advisors

E Smith Legacy Holdings LLC, headed by former Dallas Cowboy football player Emmitt Smith, formed a new partnership with Newmark Group Inc. The company, called E Smith Advisors LLC, is a minority-owned and certified venture, with operations in Dallas and Baltimore. Offerings include commercial brokerage, mortgage banking and commercial leasing services.

The company represents Emmitt Smith’s re-entry into the commercial brokerage space, following his separation from E Smith Realty Partners (ESRP) in June 2017.  E Smith Legacy Holdings, established in 2008, is a real estate holding company with business operations in development, commercial real estate services, real estate investment, infrastructure investment and construction.

Smith indicated in a statement that the new company would “explore international initiatives, but also stay focused on creating commercial opportunities right here in Texas.” He added that E Smith Advisors will be the first of many ventures to come.
