Emeryville Selects EAH Housing to Develop Affordable Community
Non-profit developer EAH Housing has announced plans to build a mixed-use, affordable housing community in Emervyille, CA. The city council has named EAH Housing as first-choice developer, clearing the way for the firm to construct the 100% affordable, 367-unit, eight-story, three-building project on Christie Avenue.
“We are a pro-housing city that pushes to get project completed for its residents. Over the past five years, we have partnered with EAH Housing on two development projects and we are eager for a third collaboration,” said Emeryville mayor John Bauters.
The complex will be comprised of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, with community amenities that include green spaces, roof decks and play zones. Services that will be available to families include summer and after school care, financial planning and nutrition classes.
The project plan also promotes low-carbon and sustainable living, featuring rooftop energy production, water efficiency, exterior sun-shades and EV charging stations.
