Embrey to Build 4th Charlotte Rental Community

Embrey paid $19 million for 6.5 acres next door to NoDa Brewing Co. That’s where the company plans to build a 403-unit, four-story community. The Charlotte Business Journal reports Embrey expects to invest $117 million into the project which is set to break ground in mid-October. Its first units are expected to deliver in the third quarter of 2025, with completion in 2026.

The property will have studio, one- and two-bedroom units at market rate-rent prices. Amenities will include a clubhouse with a game room, a business center with micro-offices and a conference room, a fitness studio, yoga room, outdoor grilling areas, outdoor gas fireplace and resort-style pool.

The most unique part of the project is a stream that will run around the property’s perimeter. The Army Corps of Engineers gave approval for Embrey to reroute the stream, which already exists on the site, to make it an attractive amenity.
