Nonprofit MJHS Health is consolidating offices into two floors at 55 Water St. in Lower Manhattan's largest office lease in 18 months

EmblemHealth Recommits to 440K-SF Downtown Space

Colliers International Group and CBRE have arranged a long-term lease extension at 55 Water St. for EmblemHealth. The non-profit health insurer will occupy approximately 440,000 square feet for 15 more years at the Lower Manhattan office property, which has served as its headquarters since 2003.

EmblemHealth was represented by Colliers’ Brian Given, Sheena Gohil, Steve Jaray and Tom Shirocky. CBRE’s Howard Fiddle represented the building’s owner, New Water Street Corp., an entity of the Retirement Systems of Alabama, along with colleagues Dave Caperna, Brad Gerla, Evan Haskell and Mary Ann Tighe.

New York City’s largest office building at more than 3.5 million square feet, 55 Water St. provides the EmblemHealth team with “a collaborative workplace environment from which to support our continued growth and enhance our ability to serve our more than three million members across New York, Connecticut and New Jersey,” said the firm’s Beth Leonard.
