Schneider adding to El Paso presence

Electrical Parts Company Expanding El Paso Factory Presence

Schneider Electric is adding another factory to its already significant presence in El Paso. The company will build its fifth factory on the west side of town, creating 500 jobs. This will bring the El Paso workforce to 2,000 workers. Schneider Electric builds products that are key to the energy and data center industry.

The El Paso Times reports the new factory will cost $25.7 million to construct and $24.6 million to equip, for a total investment of $50.3 million. It’s part of the French company’s $700 million investment in the United States to expand and upgrade its factories and other facilities through 2027.

Dirt work is underway at the 16-acre site where Schneider’s new, 273,442-square-foot factory building will be built at 1625 N. Resler Drive and Northern Pass Drive in the Northwestern Corporate Center industrial park. The site is behind Schneider’s newest factory, opened in 2023, and near its other three factories.

Schneider will get $4.3 million in city, county, and state incentives.
