El Paso’s View Homes Expands, Acquires Armadillo Homes

View Homes, which operates as Desert View Homes in El Paso and Las Cruces, NM, solidified its San Antonio footprint with the acquisition of Armadillo Homes. The El Paso-headquartered View Homes anticipates its sales to double with the acquisition.

View Homes is no stranger to San Antonio, having entered the South Texas region under the Horizon Homes brand. “We felt expansion was necessary to limit risk, as one market slows, another will excel,” View Homes’ Randy O’Leary told the El Paso Times.

View Homes and Armadillo Homes bill themselves as affordable home-builders, with first-time home buyers their primary target market. The acquisition adds 84 employees and 1,120 independent subcontractors to View Homes, bringing the total payroll to 290 employees and 4,450 independent subcontractors.
