El Paso Medical Facility Topped Out

In construction parlance, that means it’s reached the half way point of its construction timeline. Adolfson & Peterson is building the new addition to Rio Vista Behavioral Health Hospital. Acadia Healthcare will run the facility.

The 52,000 square-foot addition includes two new behavioral hospital units totaling 40 additional beds, outdoor recreation spaces, and more parking. The project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2023. AP’s Zack Rogers emphasized the urgency, “As rates of mental illness and addition continue to rise across the country and in Texas cities like El Paso, the expansion will enable Rio Vista to assist more people.”

The facility offers care for men, women and children suffering with mental health and substance abuse concerns.
