El Paso Hospital Group to Open Eastside Medical Center
The Hospitals of Providence will be opening a new campus in far east El Paso near Horizon City. The campus will be primarily used for outpatient services. Reported by KFOX TV, Providence’s Nathan Worley added, “The physician clinics will be able to take some patients from [the Horizon City Campus] who require follow-up care both in primary care, surgical specialties as well as a host of a number of different physician specialties. So it’ll be a partnership with that Horizon City location.”
A medical office building will be built off of Eastlake Boulevard. The Hospitals of Providence purchased 30 acres of land there for $15 million. The group hopes the medical office building will be complete in two years. The Hospitals of Providence said they are looking to break ground on the new facility in 2024.
The new physician clinics will help free up resources at The Hospitals of Providence Horizon City Campus which is primarily an emergency department.
