EdgeCore to Add 36MW to Mesa Data Center

EdgeCore Digital Infrastructure finished its first building in 2019, and since then it’s been increasing the datacenter campus. Its projects will soon be able to support 200 megawatts with the addition of three buildings. The buildings offers cloud-connected data center solutions to Fortune 1000 clients as part of a bigger data center campus. The Phoenix Business Journal reports It recently acquired another 15 acres adjacent to it, to build on to its growing presence, adding 36 MW. It will consist of 350,000 square feet across three buildings across from its original project.

The Phoenix region is second in the country, behind northern Virginia, in regard to the number of megawatts under construction. The demand from both hyperscale and retail tenants remains very strong. JLL research reports that the area’s needs are outpacing supply. Hyperscale tenants are pre-leasing buildings as soon as colocators are announcing them.
