EDC Begins Construction on Sioux City MXU

Ho-Chunk Inc., the economic development corporation owned by the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, has begun construction on Virginia Square an 82,500-square-foot, mixed-use project in downtown Sioux City, IA. The EDC is investing $24 million in redeveloping historic buildings in a former warehouse district.

Once completed, Virginia Square will offer apartments and condominiums, as well as restaurant and shopping space. The high-end, contemporary apartments will debut this fall, and the entire project is scheduled for completion in late 2017.
