Eco-Friendly Apartments Open in Phoenix

Habitat Metro has completed ECO Phoenix, a multifamily property located at 301 E. Roosevelt in downtown Phoenix. ECO Phoenix, which totals 125,000 SF and comprises one five-story building, was designed by CCBG Architects. It is owned and developed by Habitat Fenix LLC, a joint venture between Habitat Metro (Principals Tim Sprague and John Hill) and Fenix Private Capital Group (Thomas McPherson). Sletten Cos. served as general contractor.

Located at the SWC of 3rd Avenue and Roosevelt Street, ECO Phoenix consists of 70 residences, all with a strong emphasis on sustainability. The development uses solar energy, features a car-share program, EV chargers and recycles greywater. The solar component is expected to offset power bills by 50%. The project cost $20 million to build.

Proof Bread, a local sourdough bakeshop, has opened its newest storefront within the building.
