eBay Cuts Digital Ribbon on Main Street Facility

eBay pulled the curtains up on its latest showcase, “Main Street,”  a state-of-the art, two-story, 20,000-square-foot facility in San Jose. Main Street is part welcome center, conference hall, and employee gathering space.

The sleek, glass-paneled building is a brick-n-mortar counterpart to the digital marketplace the global e-commerce giant created in 1995. Set within eBay’s corporate south campus, Main Street mirrors the company’s culture of a vibrant, dynamic online commerce platform.

The conference hall contains three conference rooms, a gallery, coffee bar, outdoor patio area, eBay store and a gathering space for up to 850 people with theater-style seating. Main Street’s rich media experience includes a 165-inch, multimedia “touch wall” for up to three users to simultaneously explore live commerce data and velocity stats that illustrate the volume and scale of products sold on ebay.com.
