Eater-tainment on Tap for Dallas’ Deep Ellum

Punch Bowl Social, a so-called eater-tainment project, is on tap for Deep Ellum, near downtown Dallas. Restauranteur Robert Thompson is planning to open a 23,000-square-foot facility offering a scratch kitchen, craft drinks, eight bowling lanes, two karaoke rooms, a bocce court and two virtual reality areas. The development cost for Punch Bowl Social, which will be at 2600 Main St., is $5 million.

Thompson is setting up shop in the building, formerly home to the Copper Tank Brewery, through a lease with landlord Asana Partners. True North of Denver and DBA Commercial represented Punch Bowl in the lease. Opening is slated for summer 2018.

Headquartered in Denver, Punch Bowl has 10 locations (including one in Austin). According to the company website, additional locations are slated for Brooklyn, Chicago, St. Louis and San Diego.
