Eastern Bank Leases 52K SF of Office Space in Wakefield

Eastern Bank has signed a new, 51,751-square-foot lease at Hobbs Brook Real Estate’s (HBRE) The Edge Campus, located at 601 Edgewater Dr. in Wakefield, MA. Founded in 1818, the Boston-based financial services firm is slated to commence office operations at the property in the third quarter of 2025.

“With over two centuries of trust and expertise operating in New England, Eastern Bank’s addition to our community underscores the exceptional amenities, unparalleled tenant experience, and diverse tenant roster that make this location a top choice for businesses in Greater Boston,” said Peter Gottlieb, president & CEO of HBRE.

HBRE is revitalizing both 601 and 701 Edgewater within the nearly one-million-square-foot Edge office park. At 601, plans include a complete renovation of the café, a comprehensive upgrade to the property’s fitness center offering and an activated outdoor space.
