EastBanc Secures USAGM Lease in Downtown DC

EastBanc has signed a 15-year lease with the U.S. Agency for Global Media for 290,000 square feet of office space at 1875 Pennsylvania Ave NW in Washington, D.C., which will also serve as the new home of Voice of America.

The relocation will begin in the coming months and occur in phases over the next several years. The move is expected to save taxpayers more than $150 million over the 15-year lease. “Our move to 1875 Penn marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter that will reimagine USAGM for the future,” said USAGM CEO Amanda Bennett.

USAGM oversees five international broadcasting entities, including Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Radio Free Asia, Middle East Broadcasting Networks, and the Office of Cuba Broadcasting.
