East-West Furniture Moving to Houston, Buys Industrial Facility

TTD Houston Realty LLC, a subsidiary of East-West Furniture LLC, acquired a two-building, 172,848-square-foot industrial distribution facility on Houston’s far south side. The New England investor made the buy at 175 Southbelt Industrial Dr. in anticipation of relocating its entire physical operation from the Boston area to the Bayou City.

Clay Pritchett with NAI Partners represented the buyer. Oxford Partners’ Derek Russell and Larry Gray represented the seller, Clark-Elliott LLC of Blackwell, OK.

Pritchett indicated that the acquisition process was challenging, given the lack of available distribution facilities. “We spent more than a year aggressively searching the greater Houston market for a suitable distribution facility to purchase, before finally acquiring the subject property,” Pritchett said. He added that East-West Furniture, as an online distribution company, wanted to take advantage of Amazon’s expanding presence and Houston’s overall business climate.
