CBRE has announced that East West Bank has signed a lease for 11,000 square feet in Downtown Los Angeles. The building, renamed East West Bank Plaza, is located at 888 W. 6th St., and the financial institution will occupy the ground-floor retail space as well as the entire top floor office.
CBRE’s Ryan Phillips, Chris Caras, Phillip Sample, Phil Hauspurg and Brad Chelf represented the landlord, Livingston LA, LLC, in the transaction. “We are pleased to bring a top-tier institution to fill the recently vacated space. In the midst of this challenging retail and office market in Downtown Los Angeles, we see this transaction as a home run for our client and a likely indicator of future growth in the area,” said Phillips in a news release.
With the new 10-year-lease at the former Chase Plaza, East West Bank will relocate from its One Wilshire branch and will also receive building signage and naming rights at 888 W. 6th.
