East Hollywood is becoming a destination for independent retailers and shoppers who are interested in those establishments. Various antique and furniture stores are taking off that aren’t the run-of-the-mill chains.

Hutch Vintage, a store that sells handmade stationary and housewares is a popular destination. Clad Home, with it’s retro home furnishings, moved its operations from Silver Lake to the neighborhood.

Around the area are Thai Town, as well as Little Armenia. Some of the major thoroughfares attracting businesses are Melrose, Virgil and Heliotrope avenues.
