Kissimmee could be home to massive resort

Early Plans Call for Massive Kissimmee Resort

South American Holdings is exploring the possibilities of building a 624-unit Kissimmee resort on 36 acres south of Four Winds Boulevard.

Preliminary plans outline 13 four-story buildings, each 11,450 square feet, with a clubhouse, pool and spa, playground, soccer field, pickleball courts and 1,250 parking spaces. Each proposed building consists of 48 units.

The Orlando Business Journal reports South American Holdings purchased the land for $300,000 in 2020. Kimley Horn is running the proposal through the Osceola County Community Development Department.

The property, zoned as “commercial tourist” in Osceola County, is on nearly 30 acres of wetlands north of Oren Brown Road and west of W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway/U.S. 192 — between Kissimmee’s city limits and the Celebration area.
