Dutch Hospitality Firm Plans DC Hotel Development

Netherlands-based citizenM plans to open its first hotel in Washington, DC, in partnership with E Street Development Group LLC, CityPartners, and Potomac Investment Properties. The group will develop the new mixed-use property located at 555 E Street, SW.

The property will feature two towers: one housing the 252-room citizenM hotel, and another comprising 194 rental apartments, both sitting atop a retail base. The new DC location will deliver a luxury experience at affordable price points, and feature common spaces and amenities such as a living-room-style lobby, tech-savvy conveniences, open work space, a fitness area and yoga studio, and a sweeping rooftop space.

CitizenM’s new DC hotel is part of an expanding collection in the U.S., including a location in New York’s Times Square and planned properties in Manhattan, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle.
