Durst Organization Tapped to Develop Philly Waterfront Parcels

The Durst Organization has been selected as the Delaware River Waterfront Commission (DRWC) development partner to develop two key parcels at Penn’s Landing along the Philadelphia waterfront.

The New York City-based owner-developer will work with DRWC to develop two sites: one between Market and Chestnut streets and another along the Marina Basin to the south of the future Penn’s Landing Park.

Both sites will see the development of six towers apiece, with Pelli Clarke Pelli designing the Market Street properties and Bjorke Ingels Group handling design for the Marina Basin parcel. The Durst Organization’s proposal includes nearly 2,400 apartments and more than 124,000 square feet of retail across both sites, along with a 225-key hotel.

“We are honored DRWC has selected us for this transformative project that will provide Philadelphians extraordinary access to the waterfront,” said Jonathan Durst, president of The Durst Organization.
