JV Starts work on dual-branded Phoenix hotel

Duo Building Dual-Branded Phoenix Hotel

Jackson-Shaw and Holualoa Companies say they are starting work next month on a dual-branded hotel in North Phoenix. The AC Hotel by Marriott North Phoenix at Norterra and Element by Westin North Phoenix at Norterra will be connected under one roof. They are right next to the Shops at Norterra in Phoenix. The two companies have worked together on the Element Hotel at SkySong in Scottsdale and the AC Hotel Phoenix Biltmore at Camelback Collective.

The four-story development will have 274 guestrooms, 179 at the AC Hotel by Marriott North Phoenix at Norterra and 95 extended-stay rooms at the Element by Westin North Phoenix at Norterra.

The development will have 8,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, two suites, two group communal rooms, a fitness center and a resort-style courtyard with a saline pool, heated spa and event lawn. The 160,133-square-foot building takes up three acres.

Simmons Bank is providing construction financing, Layton Construction is the general contractor, and Cooper Carry is the architect.
