Duke Developing Spec Facility in Kent Valley Logistics Corridor
Duke Realty is constructing Duke Sumner Logistics Center, a new 190,042-square-foot logistics warehouse on a redeveloped 9.01-acre site in Sumner. The property at 1510 Puyallup St. is being developed on a speculative basis in the Kent Valley.
Duke Realty’s Mark Hosfeld says, “We are excited to announce that we will soon be able to offer a large block of modern, first-generation logistics space close to the Ports of Tacoma and Seattle, in an area where sites for new development projects are scarce.”
Planned as a LEED certified facility on a M-2 zoned heavy industrial parcel, the 32-foot clear logistics warehouse will include speculative office space, a 240-foot truck court with parking for 60 trailers and 125 auto stalls. The site is near Highway 167 and easily connects to the Ports of Tacoma and Seattle.
Existing structure demolition, remediation and site preparation was completed in July. Construction will begin immediately with delivery slated for April 2021.
