Duke Developing BTS Warehouse for PODS in Orlando

Indianapolis-based Duke Realty executed a long-term lease agreement for a 170,428-square-foot, build-to-suit warehouse for PODS Enterprises, LLC (PODS). The residential and commercial mover, and the country’s largest portable storage container provider, plans to consolidate operations from two other Orlando-area warehouses and expand by approximately 72,000 square feet.

The new warehouse is being built to PODS’ specifications on a 12.5-acre site at 7133 Municipal Dr. in Orlando, approximately one mile from I-4.

Duke Realty’s Ed Mitchell says, “This new facility will be state-of-the-art,and incorporate modern features that will help facilitate the storage and distribution of their products.”

Cushman and Wakefield’s Alex Beacham represented PODS in the transaction, while Duke Realty was advised in-house by Tim Perry.
