Element Hotels and Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts are opening as one, in Salt Lake City. The two will share amenities that include a restaurant, the Van Ryder rooftop bar, 8355 sq. ft of meeting and event space, a rooftop fitness center and electric vehicle charging stations.

The project was developed by The Ritchie Group and Garn Development. Azul Hospitality Group will manage the two hotels. Le Meridien Salt Lake City Downtown features 114 rooms and suites. The Element Salt Lake City Downtown offers 126.

The hotels are located six miles from the airport and are within 30 miles of several popular ski destinations including Brighton Ski, Solitude Mountain Resort, Alta Ski Area and Snowbird. The property is also adjacent to Vivint Arena and steps away from the Salt Palace Convention Center. The hotels are located in The West Quarter, a new mixed-used development that connects two halves of downtown with a mid-block pedestrian road called Quarter Row.
