DTLA’s Historic Trust Building Earns LEED Gold
Rising Realty Partners and Lionstone Investments have secured USGBC LEED Gold certification for the JV’s Trust Building, a 340,000 square foot landmark Art Deco office building located in Downtown Los Angeles. The tower first opened in 1928 as the headquarters of Title Insurance & Trust Company, and was designed by L.A. architects John and Donald Parkinson, designers of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Los Angeles City Hall.
Acquired by Rising/Lionstone in 2016, The Trust Building has been transformed into a modern office building featuring creative office space, with Rising taking space there for its HQ.
“Our approach to real estate investing and operating focuses on environmental impact as an opportunity to create value, increase efficiencies and cost savings,” said Rising CEO Christopher Rising.
Gensler is The Trust Building’s repositioning architect, with Architectural Resources Group (ARG) focusing on historic characteristics and Bestor Architecture creative suite design.
