DSV to invest $90M in Laredo distribution center

DSV to Spend $90M on Laredo Distribution Center

DSV plans to invest at least $90 million in the construction of a 905,000-square-foot distribution center in Laredo. In exchange for an incentive agreement worth up to $1.25 million over an eight-year period, the company has also pledged to create at least 178 jobs. As part of the agreement, the facility must be in operation by 2028 to start receiving city dollars in the form of tax rebates.

The project is slated to rise at Majestic Realty Co.’s Port Grande logistics park. Porte Grande sits about 15 minutes north of DSV’s current freight hub at 8310 Bob Bullock Loop.

The San Antonio Business Journal reports while the expected implementation of tariffs remains a threat to the U.S.-Mexico trade relationship, many firms are pushing ahead with these investments. A group of investors announced last week two projects that would add 648,000 square feet of warehousing and logistics space to the area.
