DRG/Crow Holdings JV Plans Spec Build for Indy Market

A joint venture between Distribution Realty Group (DRG) and a private real estate fund advised by Crow Holdings Capital plans to develop a 338,520-square-foot speculative industrial building in Plainfield, IN, near Indianapolis. To be called Plainfield Distribution Center, it will be built within the AllPoints Midwest business park.

The building is designed to appeal to high-end warehouse and logistics companies in the Indianapolis market. “From this location, our customers can take advantage of the nearby Interstate access, FedEx Air Cargo Hub and UPS Regional Hub,” said Curran Darling, DRG’s SVP of acquisitions and asset management in the Midwest.

He added that the location, “coupled with the low Hendricks County real estate taxes secured through a 10-year tax abatement, will provide exceptional advantages for logistics users.”

The JV has hired JLL’s Brian Buschuk and Steve Schwegman to market the property for lease on its behalf. Arco Murray will construct the building.
