Drew Nieman Rejoins Former Colleague at Riverside

CBRE EVP Drew Nieman has joined Riverside Investment & Development as the locally-based firm’s fifth principal, Crain’s Chicago Business reported. He’s joining his onetime co-worker John O’Donnell at Riverside, which has several projects underway downtown.

The two worked together for more than 25 years at The John Buck Company, with O’Donnell serving as president and Nieman as head of leasing.

Since leaving TJBC more than a decade ago, Nieman and O’Donnell have worked together to lease up Riverside’s office projects. For example, while at CBRE, Nieman helped Riverside land tenants at 110 N. Wacker Drive, the future Bank of America Tower due to open in late 2020, reported Crain’s.

Nieman is moving in-house at Riverside in a “natural evolution of our company’s growth,” O’Donnell said in a statement. “This move allows us to better execute our current projects, while simultaneously creating a platform to capitalize on new opportunities.”
