Drawbridge Acquires Class-A Sunnyvale Office for $180M
Drawbridge Realty has acquired 200 S. Mathilda Ave., a five-story, Class-A office/engineering building in Sunnyvale, CA for a reported $180 million. The property, which is fully-leased to ride-sharing company Uber, was sold by JP Morgan, represented by Eastdil Secured.
The 12-year-old facility totals 157,000 square feet and includes a subterranean parking structure. Uber leased 200 S. Mathilda as an engineering hub location as part of its Bay Area global headquarters.
“This is a highly appealing Silicon Valley asset leased long-term with a strong tenant in place in an area which attracts companies because of the deep regional talent pool, especially in engineering” said Drawbridge’s Charlie McEachron. “It possesses all of the transit and amenity benefits of a CBD asset in a highly-populated suburban location.”
The LEED Silver certified building is just a five minute walk from Sunnyvale’s Caltrain station and is surrounded by extensive residential, retail and lifestyle amenities.
