Dr Pepper Headquarters Could Move North

Pepsi may be the official soft drink of the Dallas Cowboys, but Dr Pepper headquarters could move to the team’s neighborhood.

The Dallas Morning News and Plano Profile both report that Keurig/Dr Pepper is looking to move from the Legacy Business Park headquarters in Plano it has occupied since 1998. Many of the locations the company is studying are in Frisco, including The Star, the Cowboys’ mixed-use development in Frisco. The company is considering other sites and cities, the reports stated.

Frisco, north of Plano in north suburban Dallas, is actively recruiting corporate relocations. The Star currently houses offices of Bank of America and FM Global, and the city recently secured the new PGA headquarters.

Representatives of Keurig/Dr Pepper, The Star and the Frisco Economic Development Corporation did not comment about a potential move.

No reason for the office search was mentioned. However, since Keurig bought Dr Pepper/Snapple last summer, it has saved $9.4 million by eliminating duplicative processes and positions. The current Legacy headquarters contains 300,000 square feet and a garage.

Connect Houston is taking place in February 2019. For more information — or to attend — click here.
