Downtown Seattle Building Undergoes Extensive Renovation
Urban Renaissance Group (URG) and BentallGreenOak have announced renovation plans for the 20-story Plaza 600 office and retail building in Downtown Seattle. The property will undergo extensive enhancements to the main lobby, amenity spaces and tenant-accessible spaces. The renovations are expected to be completed by mid-2023.
“Since purchasing Plaza 600 just prior to Amazon’s rapid headquarters expansion in 2012, this part of Seattle has evolved into a more dynamic location,” said URG Managing Director Shawn Jackson. “These new renovations are designed to even better serve our tenants and visitors, and respond to changing expectations.”
The 54-year-old building, which includes 209,000 square feet of office space and 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, will be transformed with a more activated street-level presence, modernized tenant floor finishes and highly appointed amenities.
Plaza 600 is currently 80% leased, with tenants that include NBC News Group Digital, Coast Hospitality, Flagstar Bank and MBI Seattle.
