Downtown Las Vegas’ First Ground-Up Gaming Resort Dev in Decades Unveiled
Plans were unveiled for Circa Resort & Casino, a new 1.25-million-square-foot integrated gaming resort in Downtown Las Vegas. Part of the iconic Fremont Street Experience, the property is expected to bring a new energy to Downtown, as the first ground-up resort development in the area since 1980.
The developer, Derek Stevens, says, “There is a lot of unmet demand for fun in Las Vegas. At Circa, our goal is to create a destination resort in a historic part of the city, while showing guests the time of their lives.”
The plan calls for 777 rooms and suites, as well as eclectic restaurants, the longest outdoor bar on Fremont Street Experience, a rejuvenating spa and a two-level casino with state-of-the-art slot and table gaming options and a multi-level, stadium-style sportsbook. A state-of-the art 1,201-space, nine-story parking structure, playfully dubbed “Garage Mahal,” is planned that’s specifically designed with ride-sharing in mind. Circa is slated to open in December 2020.
