Downtown L.A. Getting Boutique Hotel

A new boutique hotel is coming to Downtown Los Angeles. Called Proper, it will total 148 rooms and be located in a historic 13-story tower on Broadway.

Part of the reason that developer Proper Hospitality is building in the downtown area is because of increased tourist demand and an overall boost in visitors. The firm is a joint venture between Viceroy Hotel Group and Kor Group.

Proper will be located in the former Case Hotel, which is now vacant and was built in the 1920s. The new hotel follows news in May that Hotel Indigo is coming to Downtown Los Angeles as part of the huge Metropolis mixed-use development.
