DoveHill Acquires Connecticut Luxury Hotel and Spa

Fort Lauderdale, FL-based DoveHill has acquired Mayflower Inn & Spa, Auberge Collection at 118 Woodbury Rd. in Washington, CT. Although the buyer did not disclose the acquisition price, the Hartford Business Journal reported a price of $5.3 million based on land records, adding that the figure may not include the value of the operating business.

Charles Paloux, CIO of DoveHill, said, “Ultra-luxury is one of the few segments consistently outperforming today, and as a drive-to destination just 90 minutes from New York City, the hotel is exceptionally well-positioned to capture the enduring post-COVID demand for nearby world-class escapes.”

Located on 58 acres in Connecticut’s Litchfield County, the inn has earned a Forbes Four-Star Spa designation, an AAA Four Diamond rating, a 1 MICHELIN Key and recognition by Condé Nast Traveler as one of “the highest-rated properties in the world” every year since 2017. DoveHill plans targeted enhancements to the 35-room property, which will continue to be managed by Auberge Collection.
