Douglaston Development Tops Out BK MF Rental

Douglaston Development has announced the topping out of 1057 Atlantic Avenue, a 474,000-square-foot, 17-story, 456-unit mixed-income multifamily rental development in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The development will offer a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom residences, with 137 units designated as permanently affordable. In addition to the residential units, the project will feature 31,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 35,000 square feet of resident amenity spaces.

Douglaston acquired the site for $66 million and is co-developing the project with BEB Capital and Totem, who assembled the site and obtained rezoning for residential use. The project, expected to be completed in late 2025, is one of the last new housing developments eligible for a long-term tax exemption under the now-expired Affordable New York Housing Program.
